"NAA DA TAA TUA"
It is one of the oldest baobab trees with a big hole running through it situated in Yendi the capital town of the Yendi Municipality and also the capital of the Dagbon State that is where the seat of the Dagbon King is the Yaa-Naa#. In the olden days when some one was found flirting the Kings wife he was sent to the baobab tree and given some lashes, as his punishment. Yendi is 72km from Tamale.
CHIRIZANG ZOLI (MOUNTAIN)
Chirizang is the name of a village situated on the Tamale Yendi Road. Precisely near the Mion District Capital SANG, which is fifty two kilometre from Tamale (52km). It is a big mountain very high and wide, surrounded by valleys and slopes, thick forest and trees grouped all over.
The stones found in sea sand spread all over, mean while this is a mountain Area and not a sea side, wonderful it is. Big flat stones know in Dagbanili as TAMMBO KUGA pile up on each under in an arrangement form, all done by nature, wonderful and one needs to visit and for him/herself.
THE TOMB OF BABATU
This was a notorious warrior, and a slave raider, a Zabarima by tribe from Mali a Sister West African Country. He died in Yendi and was buried there. The weapons that he was using in fighting are all there and his bullet proof talisman gown, are all there for visitors to see.
GAANI WITCHES CAMP his camp was created about 800 years ago for keeping witches who happens to be banish as result of witch craft. After a woman was accused of witchcraft she was sent to the Chief place, the chief will perform some ceremonies after which the woman will confess, to the crime she has been accused of. There and then he will by spiritual powers neutralise the powers that the woman has, and she will then be taking to the camp to stay there for life.
It still exists and still holds a number of women there. Gaani is a village 12km from Yendi in the Yendi Municipality
